All parents are automatically members of the Queensway Association and elections are held annually for the posts of Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer and members of the Committee. The purposes of the Association are not merely to raise funds, but to ensure that the social and educational involvement of the community is catered for in as many ways as possible. Any suggestions or ideas you have will be welcomed.
The main fund raising event is held in early summer with a May Fayre and Summer Barbecue. The amount of money provided by the Authority for the education of your child seems to buy less each year - the Queensway Association can help to supplement this. Over the past two years the Association's fund raising efforts have been directed towards providing some large outside play equipment which can be used by all the children. They are hoping to raise £10000 for this project. The Association meet regularly during the year usually in school. They are always keen to see and hear from new members.
